Plåtmodul i Mjölby was founded in 1973, as Mjölby Plåtindustri AB. Over the years, the company has evolved from a traditional sheet metal workshop, to a heavy and high-production industrial company, specializing in the fabrication of steel and sheet metal components. Our team of around 70 employees all feel a great sense of responsibility to provide you with exactly the sheet metal components you want.

1973
What would eventually become Plåtmodul was brought to life in Helsingborg by Kim Foxing.
1982
The business moves to Mjölby, where it remains to this day.
1989
Plåtmodul invests in its first laser machine and starts its journey as a contract supplier.
1993
Plåtmodul begins what is set to be a significant business relationship as a contract supplier to Toyota and its truck manufacturing division.
1996
Business relationship with Väderstad-Verken begins, meaning that Plåtmodul is now contract manufacturer for their agricultural machinery.
2008
After many years of strong growth, the premises are extended to cover a total area of 6,300 m².At the same time, funds are invested in new laser machinery and an automated high rise store.
2016
Further investment is made in more automated machinery in both the cutting machining and certified welding departments.
2017
Rotage AB becomes the principal owner of Plåtmodul.
